I love the bright colors on your card! What a great saying to go with the image. Yes, I remember the days of hanging out clothes. We lived on the prairie when I was litle and the wind blew very hard most of the time. My grandmother came to visit and was helping my mom hang the clothes. Mom had a hamper on wheels to pull along as she hung clothes and she my grandmother to make sure she kept her foot on the bottom of the hamper so it would not roll away from her because of the wind. Well, she forgot and was chasing the hamper and getting all wrapped up in the clothes! LOL! Your story sounds much worse! I hope he didn't have scars from that. Have a super week! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is SO cute and beautifully colored! I have this ordered and on the way! I LOVE clothes hung out ... still do this today. What a fun story of your washing memories, Bunny!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautifully colored and such a wonderful and darling scene. I just have not enough time in the day to join in on the challenges now. I miss it too.
ReplyDeleteLove the adorable House Mousies!! I am here from NBUS to take a closer look at your sweet card. Love the bright and happy colors you used. The Meece are certainly being industrious today....maybe a little bit too much! Ha. We still hang out our clothes during the warmer weather (Mmmm....love that fresh fragrance!)....and hang them in the warm loft above the woodstove in the cool wet months. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteStay healthy and creative.

This is a fabulous card, so pretty with the background and image.. great design.. ♥
ReplyDeleteWe share that memory, Bunny! We had the same kind of wringer machine on the back porch and one of the kids got stuck in the wringer. I don't remember who, but I prolly got blamed, lol! I love your fun and colorful house mouse card! My favorite is the mouse running away blinded by a piece of laundry! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteGreat colours amid all the activity and a great story to go along with it. In NZ we still dry our clothes in the sun and fresh air - nothing like the smell of sunshine in fresh laundry. I really like how you did this. CarolG

A gorgeous card Bunny. The bright colors are beautiful and the sentiment perfect.
ReplyDeleteHanging washing is not just a memory for me. I still do it lol. I ditched my dryer years ago and find the clothes are better off without it.

It doesn't seem that long ago that I was hanging clothes on the line! I remember my grandmother having a wringer washer. It was fascinating to watch the clothes go through the wringer then, after they were dry, she would sprinkle them with water before ironing. They may have been the good ole days, but I do love my clothes dryer! Love your card and the memories, Bunny!
ReplyDeleteThis one is very sweet. Mindy and I both liked it
ReplyDeleteFabulous colours and a great sentiment too.
