I heat embossed the image and I had a hard time seeing the fur on the House Mouse. It might be just me. I do like the way it all turned out even if I couldn't find the fur. If I don't heat emboss when I watercolor I end up having colors run together.

Memorial Day


We celebrate this day in memory of the Americans that died in the line of duty to protect our country and our way of life. We thank God for those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our family and for yours. 

There are many people in many countries today that are still praying for peace.

Enjoy today with your family and friends. I hope you feel blessed to have a cook out or time at the beach or however you celebrate. Happy Memorial Day.

I received this lovely stamp set from Altenew as a gift. 
It was such a nice surprise to receive and I was even more surprised to see my name in the set. Apparently several people received these with their name as well. It's great to be able to use for the back of my cards. I'm not sure how many people received these or why. I'm thankful to Altenew. It was a fun surprise.

When I have time, I really enjoy making an envelope that has matching colors and if possible I use postage stamps that match. I wish I had more of these stamps that have the glass vases. I am not a stamp collector. I purchase stamps from our local stamp club to use and they give me 60% off the price of the stamp. Sadly, many people no longer collect stamps and some of these collectors have storage units full. So, whatever city you live in find out if there is a stamp club and if they'd like to sell you some of what they have.
