What a lovely card Bunny - and such a cute image. HM always ticks the boxes for me!
ReplyDeleteA Cornish pastie/pasty has an interesting origin (you mentioned them in your Playground comment). They were originally baked by wives for their husbands to take for their lunch when working in the Cornish tin mines. They're basically a pasty outside, filled with meat and vegetables (onion, potato and swede) and are designed with a pleated fold of pastry along the top or one side which can be used as a sort of handle and discarded as the miners would likely have arsenic residue on their hands. They're delicious and really a whole meal encased in wonderful golden pastry. At one time, one end would have the meat mixture in and the other end would have jam as a dessert!

Fantastic Father's Day card, Bunny! And perfect for the theme at HM&F this time~ Your coloring is beautiful, and so fabulous dual frame around the stamp and sentiment! Are you still volunteering by directing traffic, etc, or have you now been able to be in more AC? I cannot imagine being outdoors with this humidity! Even our okra and tomatoes have stopped producing blooms, and okra is a summer plant! Wishing you a great week. hugs, de
ReplyDeleteSweet card, Bunny! I love the composition of the card too.
