Ranger Alcohol Inks, silver mixative and blender
There was a first tag. It went into the recycle bin. I found out that the glue I used to adhere the deer didn't work well on Yupo paper. If there's a trick to what ink to use when stamping on metallic paper please let me know. I placed it in my Misti and used a few inks but none kept their color well. It's suppose to be black ink. It looks silver.
I've been viewing all the tags in blog land and have been inspired by their beauty. I learned how to use alcohol inks with blending solution by watching a great video by Jennifer McGuire this week. I smooshed the alcohol inks and a silver mixative together to make the background for the tags. The piece of paper that the tags are resting on will indeed be used on a card or more tags.

These are just gorgeous! Love the sheen on the papers you used too! Your alcohol ink background is spectacular and so is your color choice. Beautifully designed tags!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, Bunny! I had no idea that your tag backgrounds were anything less than expert planning. They are amazing. But how strange that the black turned silver! I hope you receive an answer from a Yupo expert. The white deer silhouettes are exquisite, and give a peacefully snowy feeling. Lovely tags! Hugs, de
ReplyDeleteI love these tags, so classy and love the blue. Fabulous results I must say.x
ReplyDeleteI find not many inks will stay dry on yupo paper but Memento ink should be okay. Some of the others are too 'wet' but maybe try Versafine onyx black for your metallic paper, which is not good I found on yupo.
