Bunny

Penny Black - Caroling Trio
Small musical note stamp
Kuretake Zig Clean Colors - 22 30 32 50 51 65 81 80 90 91
I need more practice with the Zigs. Especially for the background.

Recently I met a new friend, Mary, who I met her through Di at Pixie's Snippets Playground. You can read about Mary by clicking on Pixie's above. For Mary it was one of those bad situations where the Fire Marshall tells you that you have 20 minutes to get out of the house. Those California winds gobbled up Mary's house and many others.

It moved me and I got in touch with Mary, a few e-mails, phone calls and I sent her a few things. It always makes you feel good to give to others. I've noticed the crafters I've met are genuine and good hearted people.

Well, a little time passed and I was checking on my House Mouse team mate Sue Kment who is soon to retire and I wanted to know how she was doing. I also mentioned to her that I was really just now starting to collect some of the Penny Black stamps and had purchased one of the stamps that she had made a card out of.  I called her my enabler for that stamp. One older stamp (the stamp above) I mentioned I really wanted it to be my next Penny Black stamp.  I pace myself on purchases since I don't work for money. Lo and behold, Sue sent me an e-mail back and said she had purchased an extra Penny Black Caroling Trio and wanted to send it to me as a gift. Just like that. In the mail I received it and a couple of other stamp sets by different companies. I told Sue it felt like I was being paid a kindness in return for sending Mary a few things. As I said before it feels good to give to others and you never expect anything to be paid forward to you but then when  it happens, what a blessing. Sue said it was a blessing for her as well and I truly believe that. Thank you, Sue.

  4. Isn't that wonderful that Sue had an extra? I love how things always happen in the most unexpected ways. I enjoy sharing "goodies" with others, when they least expect it, and in ways that always touches them sweetly. It never fails that in some similar fashion, things happen in return. But even if material things did not come to me, I would still feel greatly humbled and grateful for the love and friendship so freely given me. Bunny, your merry little carolers could not be sweeter, and I know you will think of Sue every time the stamp is used! It's a beautiful card! hugs, de
