Penny Black – Cheerful Christmas
Simon Says Stamp Tabbed Sentiment

Embosswed with Clear embossing powder

I embossed this cute little bird and then colored it with my Zigs. As you can tell by the picture you can really see the embossing. I also watercolored the outside mat the same color as the little berries. It does help if you get the matting straight however. One great thing about watercoloring once you've embossed is that you rarely go outside of the lines.

  1. Your card is beautiful Bunny, what a magnificent shade of magenta! I love that you've coordinated the bird's breast, the berries and the outside frame to create a cohesive design. Great tip about using paint to match the colours exactly. Love it!
    Cheers,

  2. This is so bright and festive, Bunny! I love the orchid shade of the bird, berries, and frame! I agree with you about the advantage of heat-embossing the image before watercoloring!! Hugs, Darnell PBSC GD

  7. Fantastic use of Pink, Bunny! Definitely a Florida Style card, and so pretty with the bright green, rather than traditional colors. Thanks for the inspiration - for some reason, I have "unicorn colored" other animals, but not birds! It's a beautiful creation, and I especially admire how you stamped that sentiment on so straight! hugs, de
