Bunny

More Pink and white and watercolored. I'm still playing with that SSS Floral Hexagon stamp. I really do love it. This is a square card which is unusual for me to make. Mainly because I don't have square envelopes and here in the U.S. it cost more to mail square cards. I'm not sure what the reason is behind that.

  1. This is such a pretty card! I love that stamp set and have it on my wish list.
The envelopes I use are A6 (4.75 inches by 6.5 inches). I like them because a standard 4.25 x 5.5 inch card has a little wiggle room in case some of the embellishments hang off the edge or the card is a little thicker. I use these envelopes for square cards, too. Just make sure they are no larger than 4.5 inches square, and you can save on postage.

  2. Also gorgeous, Bunny. I love the pinks.
I do make square cards from time to time, depending on my design. I got some of the "extra ounce" stamps to put on them. I was told they cost extra because they are not machineable and have to be sorted manually.

    1. Thanks, Monica. That makes sense. When I send regular A2 cards that have any embellishment or a certain height because of popping them up I get the post office to hand cancel (they do this for free) so that it doesn't go through the machine and tear it up.

  7. I think the square design is perfect for this repeat stamping. I think it shows off the design better than a rectangular card. Just give it to a wonderful neighbor and not mail it. So glad you joined us for our "All About the Flowers" August challenge at Die Cut Divas https://die-cut-divas.blogspot.com/.
