Cards for Little Hearts

Cards for Little Hearts

Although it cannot cure congenital heart disease, a simple, handmade card can have a significant, positive and lasting impact on heart patients and their families.  Our cards represent the love that these children are receiving and assure them they are not alone.  When they feel that love, it gives them hope, lifting their spirits and inspiring strength to continue fighting to get better.  We are tremendously grateful for the generosity and support from card makers around the world for taking part in Cards for Little Hearts and hope that you too can join us.

I encourage you to go to their website. The Winter themed cards deadline is November 1st. The next batch of cards to make is Heart Themed cards. The deadline for that is January 31, 2020. There are some important guidelines to follow that you need to know about. Christina doesn't care if you make 1 card or 101 cards. Just think of the smiles and the difference you can make on one face. Actually more, because the doctors, nurses and staff love passing these cards out.

This is my 1st year to make the Winter Themed cards. I chose a cute Penny Black image called Christmas Hopping By and made 50 cards. You don't have to make them all the same. I chose to because of some shoulder issues and it was easier for me to do so. The Merry Christmas you see in the background was for picture purposes only as there are guidelines as I said.

  6. Aaaaw, Bunny, they are so sweet! Your colouring is beautiful and I'm sad to read that your shoulder is still so painful. Your hubby came through - he's a keeper for sure! This such a good cause. Sadly I had to give up this charity due to postage/shipping costs to the U.S. but I continue to donate to one in Canada. I wish I could do more of the card charities but our budget is a lot tighter now. I think cards really make a difference.

  7. These are really sweet! The bunny is so cute and children will love it!

I have had torn rotator cuff issues over the years. I've done lots of physio and the best relief I have had is from this exercise.

Bend over at the waist and let your arm hang down. While trying to relax your arm, slowly let it swing in a small circular motion. Try to let the circle be as natural feeling as possible (not forced). Increase the size of the circle gradually. I did that about 20 times a day. It really helped give some relief.

Thanks for you and your husband taking part in the October Rudolph Days Challenge.

I know you're making your talents a blessing to others, and that's such a beautiful gesture of love. I'm so grateful also to have you link up with us and hope you'll stop by again soon.
